EcoFishCircle AS will take onshore fish farming to the next level. By introducing the newest technology such as carbon capture, blockchain technology and artificial intelligence we can produce higher quality salmon more effectively, sustainable and with better welfare for the fish.
Our RAS (Recycling Aquaculture System) design is simple and modular, which introduces a unique level of customization for the producer. Every tank being self-sustained without interaction with other tanks increase production safety and eliminate the need for large industrial housing, and reduce time to market. The area between fish tanks can be used for agricultural production or even bird habitats.
Our proprietary technology allows EFC to extract CO2 efficiently from the fish tank in concentrated form. This secure not to suffocate the fish by CO2 as well supplying the G2F process with sufficient CO2 for producing a protein rich biomass for reuse as a protein ingredient in the fish feed. Since it is also biologically generated, it is an attractive green material. EFC therefore introduce aquaculture as a favorable source of biogenic carbon.
Total traceability is secured by introducing harmless biomarkers into the fish feed, which is mirrored in the consumer ready fillet. We are tracing the meat itself, allowing consumers to trace all information of the product from farm to fork. Due to the block-chain coding the info cannot be tampered.
Safe tracing opens for new finance solutions which effectively enabling mortgaging the fish without human interference in the transactions.

CIRCULAR AQUACULTURE REDUCES ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT OF FISH FARMING
We are changing fish farming from an environmental concern into a contributor to the climate mitigation. By re-using CO2, we can achieve 30% self-sufficiency of feed, and a 40% reduction in carbon emission. Carbon is recycled and it effectively adds to the global biomass without competing with other demands and represent a very sustainable example of CCU (Carbon Capture and Utilization).
EFFICIENT USE OF LAND
Our fish farming plants consist of individual, self-contained tanks that reduces the cost by at least 30% compared to traditional RAS. EFC’s Fish farming set up and CO2 capture requires about 700 times less land compared to traditional farming to produce the same amount of food.
As result of this it can be combined with grass land and bird habitats on the land in between tanks.
